Try the charity shops in Turnham Green road/Chiswick High road - some sterling brands in most of them - the slightly higher price brands are most prevalent here - Hobbs, Fenn, Wright Manson, East, Reiss and some designer stuff too, especially in the Oxfam - the other Oxfam shops worth checking out are in Notting Hill Gate and the King's Road in Chelsea. Also, try googling second-hand shops in London - there are hundreds...

Have you tried Cheshire Street near Petticoat Lane and LIverpool Street? Beyond retro and others used to be good value - probably best to google first though
