I do wish that our planned 'sabbatical' wasn't so far away, but having our daughter and her boyfriend to house-sit is such an ideal situation that I don't mind waiting really. Plus, of course, we'll have a year or so to get to know the new baby before we take ourselves off!

A great picture! And good luck with all your plans. I must say, the idea of renting before one actually buys is a very good one, and you appear to have all the pieces falling into place! :))

I do hope the pieces fall into place in reality when it all seems so simple on paper! *g*

Thanks for your good wishes, and I'm pleased you like the pic!

Wow, it is a busy time for you.

Congratulations to G and family on the forthcoming new baby.

I hope K & boyfriend have a lovely time. I can quite understand why you are a bit nervous.

And I hope all goes well with your house plans in due course.

Hurrah for figuring out a way to make your plans work. I'm sure you're find something lovely.

And what a great card! I can just see them, quietly spending time time together, just the two of them.

Well, it was a bit of a 'Eureka' moment actually! It just suddenly hit me that it would be the ideal solution to both our problems! Just have to hope that it all works out now!

Pleased that you like the card. I love to think of them spending their older years like this... *g*

Lovely card! I approve of your 'updating often' resolution, because look at all these things we didn't know! Lots of news! And all of it good? It looks like it and I hope so.

Best of luck with the resolutions that require actions, and enjoy the new year!

I know I've been very neglectful about updating here recently, so I'm determined to remedy that! Mind you, I'm not promising that my posts won't be terminally boring... *g*

Here's wishing you a great new year too, matey!
