4x09: "A Man of His Word"
ABC summary: Sark agrees to help Sydney and Vaughn track down Anna Espinosa, but only after Vaughn agrees to a despicable request from Sark related to Lauren's buried corpse. Meanwhile, Jack ponders risking Nadia's life by prematurely reviving her from an induced coma to extract vital information about Anna's whereabouts.
things are getting back to the way they were: the cliffhangers, the recaps at the beginning of the show... i'm starting to warm up to it again.
nadia was put into a coma so she could heal better (she got shot in the back last episode). i think she had internal bleeding and it would be better for her metabolic rate? i forget what they said but hey, i think i'm supposed to know this 'cause i might be a doctor one day. ha, you'll be screwed the day you're my patient just so you know. ANYway, sloane was all worried. aw, sloane has a heart albeit a cold one but still, the man cares for people (who knew?).
sark is back and badder than ever (or gooder?). ha, he came face to face with sloane. "classic" ah, sark and his deals. i guess he really did love lauren but a man like him isn't supposed to love. i mean, he loved a.g. dorian but after she became francie, i don't remember him being so heartbroken when she died... well, he was jealous of will a bit. anywho, i thought lauren was buried at a graveyard. as in, like, dirt. but hey, they "buried" in a CIA place where you place people in a drawer type thing. at first i thought, "is she cryogenically frozen?" that would've been weird. ahh, AHHH. they SHOWED her FACE! creep-ay! though, she looked good for a dead person. i mean that in the best way possible.
vaughn must be incredibly messed up right now. the man is in AGONY. the guy killed his own wife, triangle style. and by that, i mean the bullet holes in lauren's chest were shot like a triangle, the way the CIA trains them to. smartypants sark figured that out pretty quickly, the slick guy. ooo, the tension in that room was unbearable. you could cut the tension with a knife! (friendddddsss reference)
so sark was loyal, despite ANNA ESPINOSA's intentions. alright so syd and co. are after this bomb thing anna has. they're trying to capture anna for that and for vengeance (she shot nadia; everyone's bitter). ummm... they use sark because he has so many ties. ooo, the club scene was FANTASTIC. syd posed as lauren (because the guy they were meeting has never seen lauren, so) and went with sark. vaughn watched from a distance, still very much screwed up and jealous? angry? long story short, anna is there, kills the guy, chase ensues. sark is kidnapped by anna.
jack injects something into nadia to wake her up so nadia can tell him who and where anna/sark are meeting this other guy in venice. syd/vaughn go and intervene. sark betrays anna in the end because he is a "man of his word." anna and syd have another fight (intense!) and syd wins it, finally capturing anna. sark gets away and syd/vaughn hug at the end.
sloane finds out about jack's stealthy injection and gets all huffy about it. jack reminds sloane that he was the one who wanted anna, and jack was going all out to do it, following what sloane said. ha, i love how they played on each other's words. it was funny.
oh, so why was the club scene FANTASTIC? the guy they met was really gross wanted to see them have sex in this room but quick thinking syd said, "we don't mix business with pleasure." syd puts a slice of lime in sarks mouth and kisses him! then of course, she bites sark's lip in the process and makes him bleed. ewww, the guy was so turned on by it. so gross.
did i forget anything else? oh, in the beginning, the hospital's fire alarm "goes off," meaning anna's there. she sneaks in to kill nadia but only ends up shooting a bed full of blood packets (bed sheets were covering them so it looked like a body). slick sloane moved nadia to a different room.
aw, weiss is so sweet. i liked his little magic trick at the end; it almost gave nadia a heart attack, but you know. he's so sweet.
next week looks promising, with syd all punky. i might not be able to see it because orchestra rehearsal will be running late! sadness. maybe i can get out of it. if not, then... i'll be posting a summary later in the week i suppose. later, kids.
