5x13: "30 Seconds"
basically, sloane kills nadia (accident, really). she was furious when she found out he had Page 47 of the rambaldi manuscript, so she threw it into the fireplace. sloane lunged for it, shoving nadia into a glass table and, well, the shards of glass cut her neck and she died.
anna, who's clone!syd, kills renee.
and sloane finally decides to join prophet five (he had been in contact/dealing with them to get a cure for nadia).

(seeing 'David Anders' in the credits at the beginning kind of ruined the surprise but still... HEY.)
oh, Sark. he is looking mighty fine. le sigh.
Vaughn is... woo, he is still very good-looking. yes. excellent.
sorry, i have to get that out of the way first.
onward to the episode!
syd is on her way to nepal to see vaughn, however anna (clone!syd) and company compromise the visit. syd almost dies--the car flipped/rolled down a hill and anna blew it up. naturally, syd escapes. meanwhile, anna waltzes right into vaughn's little house in the middle of nowhere. they kiss, talk about isabelle, etc etc. anna extracts the other half of the chip from vaughn's chest. they put that half with the other half (from renee) together and wabam, some kind of map of a nuclear bunker in germany is encoded in it.
they go to germany and find the place. but vaughn, oh so smaht & hawt, knew all along that anna wasn't the real syd. he kicks her ass a little before syd comes and shoots anna. woo! the REAL syd and vaughn reunite (reunited and it feels goooooood). that bunker place was where vaughn's father did all his research about prophet five-- it kind of reminded me of A Beautiful Mind. anyway! syd is now "anna" and going deep undercover in prophet five.
sloane on the other hand is haunted by nadia. she appears by his side throughout the episode, acting like his conscience and all. prophet five is making him decipher Page 47 of the rambaldi manuscript, which he already knows the contents of. he's just procrastinating, if you will. anyway, he says something about having to make peace with the past and goes to a church, lights a candle, and leaves a book of matches. this is when SARK strolls by, picks up the matches and finds a note inside. what's sloane up to now? he's a sly one, bouncing all over from good to bad to... good?
