5x15: "No Hard Feelings"

5x15: "No Hard Feelings"
whoa, momma.
okay.
so let's recap. anna is now dead and syd is undercover as "anna" in prophet five. vaughn is very much alive. right.
that chip syd had was essentially worthless; it was just a tracker. however, it was important for jack/marshall to keep track of her on her undercover mission. so when peyton (lady who works for prophet five) disposed of it, vaughn had to catch up with syd & peyton to give syd a cellphone. got it? good.
syd meets sloane and he tells her that she has to retrieve something in rome. on the plane there, he asks how she killed "syd"; she tells him she shot "her" in the back. afterwards, sloane goes to peyton and says that he wants to be the one who kills "anna".
when syd gets to rome, her contact is SARK. she, rightfully so, hits him in the face and then smashes his face into the table. lol, good times. anyway, the object she's supposed to retrieve is in a high security prison so SARK blows out the windows of the place (i feel like it was bank/cafe) and demands money, though telling the cashier to take her time. then SARK and syd leave the place surrendering, therefore gaining access to the prison.
once there, SARK pretends to seize and beats the crap outta some security guards to gain access to a computer to let syd out of her isolation unit. syd then goes to said location of object to retrieve it. the rambaldi manuscript said something like this: "the circle is complete when the chosen one finds the rose."
what's "the rose", you ask? the question should actually be who is the rose. 'cause that old dude in the jail kind of freaked me out.
yes, that old guy was the rose (he had a rose tatooed on his forearm). he tells syd to come with him, and he gives her this amulet filled with something liquidy. syd asked repeatedly what it was and all he really said was that it destroys the natural balance of things, that when used the stars will fall from the sky... i know, right?
so syd takes it and runs back to her cell before getting caught. meanwhile SARK has been extracted from the prison by peyton. when syd gets back to her cell, sloane's there waiting. he asks if she got the rose and she says, "no." he says, "i don't believe you." so he TASERS her and steals the amulet. then he starts to CHOKE her, as in, "IMMAKILLYOU!" vaughn/dixon have been monitoring syd in the basement of the jail from the beginning so vaughn goes to save her, except a guard comes in right before and sloane backs off and leaves. syd beats up the guard but another one comes. vaughn shows up and shoots that guard and gets syd the hell outta there.
[while looking for syd in the jail's surveillance cameras]
Marshall: "is that a women's shower? (pause) wait, no, no, that's a men's shower... definitely a men's."
let's not forget tom's side plot. he's been in pursuit of why his wife was killed. rachel finds out what he's been doing and gets on his case. they almost have a little tiff about him lying to her, etc etc. but she ends up helping him because she wants to (and i think she likes him). tom's been in contact with allen, the guy who killed his wife. he knows that allen was taking higher orders from somewhere. anyway, tom gets this car with crystals in them in exchange for info on why his wife was killed. allen says that he wants to walk away unharmed after saying what he's about to say. tom says sure, just tell me. tom finds out that his wife was killed by accident, wrong place wrong time. that was all. allen drives away unharmed... except when tom blows up the car. sweet.
and here was my favorite moment of the episode, i don't know why. syd/vaughn are laying in bed together with isabel in between them. it's the most adorable thing ever. and then... and then... ohhh, i loved this part! vaughn does this little "awww" smiley thing when isabel falls asleep and says, "the snoring kills me." i nearly died. i want to take that moment and put it in my pocket and keep it forever.
then syd's cell phone rings and she answers it...
it's sloane.
he knew it was syd. and thanks her for the last piece of the rambaldi puzzle.
....riiiiight?
by the way, vaughn was UBER-HOT. like holy cow, HOT. i love the stubble. and SARK was HOT, too. he looked really fit. wow. TEH HOTTNESS.
