They are! Very tall. The fuzzy stuff at the very bottom of the picture is an orange grove, so that's like, normal-tree size.

wow, wow that is so cool. i love this so much. i want palm trees!! and for some reason the little line thingy in the bottom right reminded me of a submarine, but then i went, wait wtf that doesn't make any sense. crazyyy.

The little flat thing? It's just a streetpole that I didn't mean to take a picture of. Actually, I went looking at pictures of submarines and I think I know what you mean. If you compare the two, it makes sense. I wish I could live in a submarine.
There's also a few headless palm trees in my picture.
