Ask him to help you find it. If he didn't do it, you've got another pair of eyes. If he did do it, it gives him a chance to "find" it.

Don't point any fingers or paws at anyone yet till you have some evidence that he (or someone else) has done it. As Horatio Caine said in "CSI:Miami," "Let the evidence do all the talking." Or something similar. >.<; Put the evidence usually does point to the person whose done it.
