50 Piastres, Egyptian

Some guest at work today gave me a bill from the "Central Bank of Egypt" worth 50 Piastres...I was like "Wow! Uh...thanks!" I have no idea why he gave it to me or how much it's worth here in the US.

...Just one of those moments that makes you stop and go hmm...

Currently, one Egyptian pound (their equivalent of the dollar, worth 100 piastres) is worth 17 cents. So, half of that is...8 cents, to round it.

Must be big money in his country, or something. Don't you work on a mummy ride or something? That could be part of it...Egypt, the mummies, and all that.

That's what I was thinking...either that or he really liked my theming of a minion sending guests to their sacrifices and decided to give me a tip...
