Tokyo made Hideki very uncomfortable, and it could be boiled down to one fact: there were a lot of people. A whole lot of people. A hundred times more people than he'd ever had to interact with in his entire life up to this point. The most he'd ever had to deal with was... well, the farm animals.
At least they didn't look at him funny when he talked to himself.
What made things worse was that almost everyone in Tokyo had a Persocom. It wasn't fair! He wanted a Persocom of his own too!
It was not until he noticed that people were staring at him that he realized he'd spoken out loud.
Oops.
As soon as he'd managed to run far enough away, Hideki allowed himself to collapse in a heap on the ground. He really needed to learn how to stop doing that. Even so, was it too much to ask for? Letting out a loud sigh, he realized it was. He was nowhere near becoming rich enough to afford one, even if it was second-hand.
Sighing again, he got up and dusted himself off before continuing his journey to his new residence. Maybe he was better off wishing he had a girlfriend.
At that, he laughed to himself, earning more curious looks from passersby. While he was at it, why didn't he wish he had both?
