I spent part of last night trying make fishtail braids. I got the small one down, but the big one needs work. Either way, I'm totally surprised that it was so simple and I didn't figure this out back in fourth grade when I first saw a girl wearing them.

Of course, I didn't have youtube back then to watch and coach me through what to do.

My dad called me today to say that my asshole uncle (how is one twin an asshole and the other a perfectly nice person) put the china I wanted in her car for me. He finally signed the papers that puts the car in my dad's name. I started crying on the phone because I was sure they were going to be sold in the garage sale. Last night I went to Target with my sister and tried an XL bikini top on over my shirt. IT FIT PERFECT! I haven't had anything fit like that since fourth grade. AMAZING! And then today I went to Target and bought my first post-op shirt and dress, below. I'm going to start collecting basic cotton dresses to play with. I'm terribly excited.

Oh my god, I get to buy a juicer and a fire bowl when we move. I am so excited. I miss campfires at Innisfree around our firebowl at the big house. I get to walk around the neighborhood and pick up sticks with Ruby to have backyard fires!

Also, 3-D Coraline on blue-ray next week! Yippie!

On Wednesday I sign my new lease. I am terribly excited for our new place. It's a HOUSE in Kansas City, KS, about 2 miles from State Line. It's an adorable little two-bedroom house with a fence yard and a clawfoot tub and a mudroom and a closet with a 10 foot ceiling and a dishwasher, thank goodness I don't have to wash dishes by hand anymore! Regardless of what you may think of the show, I love that "Mental" features 3 Latinos with doctorates in medicine. The fact that two of them are intensely beautiful women makes it all the better. Oh, and one is a lesbian on the show.

I totally forgot this all-important point. Milt told me after I woke up that they removed 7 pounds of tissue. 7 fucking pounds! That's a baby!

So the past few days have been...awkward. Milt has been a bit of jerk, mostly because I don't think he really understood how much help I was going to need. I can't drive anywhere, so when water tasted like vomit and all I wanted was a Sonic Slush from 3 blocks away, I had to wait 5 hours. Today I basically tattled on someone I don't care for at work because they showed up 2 hours late. Told them that when her partner calls in, she calls in the next day, when she says she's at X location, she's actually at her apartment. I just don't care and the fact that I'm not going to see the person for two weeks made it all the easier.
