Naminé appeared in the gloomy entrance to Hades's Underworld. It hadn't been easy, since she'd only met him once- how did the older Nobodies track people so easily?- but from the corridors of darkness, she'd been able to follow Matt here.

(It's a MacGuffin, okay? Just bear with me. XD)

When Matt had pictured death, he hadn't expected it to be so... dull.

I mean, yeah, all the yawning chasms and darkness and water and stuff was cool (and oddly familiar), but after a while it all seemed to blur together into an altogether dull whole. And there was a strange pressure on him, too, something oppressive and unpleasant, that didn't seem to go away.

He leaned against a wall, let out a heavy sigh, and wished that he had his DS. It'd make life (unlife?) a lot more bearable.

She was on the right track. It was hard to pick out one heart among all the lost souls, but there was a difference- his was alive. The nice lady Death must have resurrected him onto the wrong world.

It felt like a longer walk than it probably was, especially with the occasional spirit coming out of nowhere and scaring her half out of her wits- but at least no Heartless appeared. Finally, Naminé spotted an unmistakably human figure, the first since coming to the Underworld.

"Hey!" she called, running towards him.

He looked up at the voice, a bit startled to hear someone speaking to him. He managed to recognize the figure fairly quickly - it was the young girl who had visited his apartment a while back. (Another hint of familiarity there, too, and it seemed connected to this place.) It was good to see someone familiar, even if the implications were unpleasant.

"Hey!" he called back, waving. "Did you die too?"

"No." Naminé shook her head frantically, not even wanting to consider the idea in a place like this. "I'm just here to bring you back."
