not to sound like an ass or anything but he's over there because it's his job...you can add politics into it if you want, but that's what it boils down to

you're right- it is his job. but i just think people should be told the entire truth before they are risking their lives and taking the lives of others. and yes you did sound like an ass. how would you feel if you or your little brother was over there and having to put up with this? they have been there for an entire year and all of a sudden it's "oops so sorry but maybe going to WAR wasn't completely justified." "oops we're sorry that you missed your first born child's entire first year of her life." "and we are also sorry that we seem to think you should feel honored to go to a foreign country and force them to take your type of government and by force we mean shoot and blow up things until they give in." so yeah it's his job but that doesn't make it ok.

As a guy who has had a family member over there, twice, I can say that ANYTHING you hear from the news is bullshit.
we have no clue what kind of sensitive information that is kept by the president or his aides.
and yes, it is his job, its a suck ass position to be in
but although unexpected, its not exactly fine print that a soldier is supposed to be at war...
I know the military, you know i know the military...

things are not always what they seem... in fact
iraq did have weapons that the syrians and lybians now possess, and there are remnants of nerve gas in canisters that were fired two months ago at US troops.

once again, just because you see it in the news doesnt always make it true... its all perspective.

and nice avatar littlebelly :P
