I just purchased my rat and sheep's heart for dissection in the bio lab. The rat looks sleepy, with little slits for eyes

Is the rat dead? And you had to buy them for class? Aren't they usually "provided?"

yeah it's dead and we had to buy them! It was about $30, which we spilt among 4 group members. I guess the community college can't provide them for us, like in high school. :(
