hmmmm...depends on the size of your living space.

2. clothes
3. a fan
4. snacks and junk food
5. i don't know if any of these ideas are anything what you expected.

Thanks, those are the types of things I was expecting. I'm making a packing list and trying to make sure I don't forget things. I'll be living in a full sized apartment.

oh, then it's different, I've lived in dorms...

take your dishes, storage containers (for the fridge and to keep things organized in a closet or under your bed), any furniture that doesn't come with your apartment, etc.
