Gypsy, I definitely understand what you mean about the money. Chapel Hill is nice, but it is definitely huge and impersonal...way different from UNC-Asheville. There's still time to apply for a number of other scholarships if Asheville is where you should be. I've had too many friends "settle" for another school (funnily, usually Chapel Hill) that didn't fit them only to regret it and have to go through the complicated transfer process.
I'm really sorry to hear about your dad; that is a tough situation. In the end, in-state schools aren't in town, but you could still get back home within the day if you needed to. I agree strongly with your last sentence--you should be happy, and if you feel you'll be happy going to Asheville, then that's what you should do.
So that's my two cents--hope whatever you decide makes you happy :) That's the important thing. ♥
thank you for responding with (a lot) of thoughts. i miss you and i hope you're doing alright. i should have replied sooner, but instead i just saw it everytime i got on and was encouraged without telling you. thank you again. <3
