I'd say it's the best Marvel one ever, because I'm not quite sure yet if I like it as much as BATMAN BEGINS. It's definitely top 3. BLANKMAN is in a league of its own though.
Batman Begins is probably a better film as far as tone and direction, but as a comic book movie, it fails to capture one of the most important aspects of the character, namely the detective side. Iron Man, on the other hand, is a completely perfect movie rendition of the character with the less plausible aspects removed and brought up to date for a 2008 audience.
