yay for new musical discoveries.

I find it harder and harder these days to find music that really strikes a chord in me.  Between the drivel they play on the radio now, and MTV taking the "M" out of...er...MTV, it's rare that I find stuff I really like.  I discovered Damien Rice thanks to the movie Closer, and Kristin turned me on to Iron and Wine, but these days, if I buy a CD ( ( Read more... )

I recently got into The Killers.....their older stuff like the albums Hot Fuss and Sam's Town....been listening to them non stop. Their latest album is a meh. Anyway, check them out, just good rock music.

Yeah, I've pretty much only heard their singles from the radio, but I like what I've heard. Been meaning to buy one of their CDs, actually. I forgot to mention that Guitar Hero has introduced me to a lot of music in the past couple of years.

I'm not willing to admit that I'm a Black Sabbath fan, but I just may be...

A fellow Officer got me hooked on Evanescence so I too enjoy them.

Looking older? Not a chance, boss. After you left, I was thinking, "Ok, when did me and Ben switch ages?" lol. Hopefully, I'll look like you ten years from now. I think you started really working out when you were around 29 or so.

I think you would love Within Temptation. I remember you really enjoyed the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack, and WT reminds me of a fusion of that and Evanescence. Check out this live performance. The Black Symphony had them performing with a 60 piece orchestra and 20 piece choir.
