Yeah I wasn't a fan either...I never got a grasp on exactly what Will's character was like, or what Elizabeth's character really felt. Even Barbossa was less mysterious than he should have been!
Don't get me wrong: there were moments where I got a fantastic feel for some thought, aspect, etc. But it didn't gel. It was a series of events, not a story.

Will character was similar to Jack's in the first movie, minus the comedy. only looking out for themselves and what benefits him. Of course, that's how a pirate should be. And there wasn't much to feel for Elizabeth because she's basically a pirate herself and so the mystery of feelings are suppose to be there. I dunno, I liked most of the characters except for Jack, because Jack got stupid and annoying in the second movie.
