This was absolutely beautiful. It's angstier than I expected, yes, but that's never stopped me from liking a fic :) And even if, you wrote this so wonderfully that I wouldn't be able to resist.

I thought John's reaction was very in character. As an "outsider" it would be hard for him to understand why Sam chose Gabriel. It's tragic that he only realizes it afterwards but perhaps the only way.

Thank you so much for this story! It's very beautiful and I really loved it!
