So... this Christmas is a time to honor friends and loved ones? I don't believe I have ever celebrated such a thing before.

Kankurou... would you like to go "Christmas shopping"?

It takes on a different meaning for different cultures, really.

Well where I come from some people celebrate it a secular holiday for gift-giving. Some find it a deeply religious holiday, marking the birth of Jesus Christ. And for some it is a celebration of winter.

The various traditions associated with it across the world come from a wide variety of cultures as well. The trees are supposedly from the Germanic Patron Trees.

I see. So the holiday itself has multiple connotations, depending heavily upon the people celebrating it.

And thos trees are traditionally decorated as they are now? And what of the man known as "Santa Claus"?
