Hey, is it alright if I add you? I read the cutecouples community and I saw your comment about being a music teacher - I am currently in school for Music Ed., and would be interested in learning stories, etc. Let me know!

hi there, i've seen you around in the violinists community and i'm actually pretty interested in music ed and noticed that you're pretty involved in that. also, i live very close to sf and saw that you are going to sf state. so is it alright if i added you? :)

hey! right now, my focus is music performance. i'm a private teacher through a music store who specializes in beginning band/orchestra kids, and i've had more than enough of my share of bad, tenured teachers answering questions incorrectly, yelling at them for reading wrong notes, holding high expectations for first year students, and basically making them feel terrible. i called quite a few of these lousy teachers asking for a volunteer part time position just helping the slow kids (i imagine their stress stems from having to answer the same questions over and over again - something i don't mind doing at all!), but i either got no reply or a very harsh and rude "we have no room for you ( ... )

oh sure, i work in san mateo :) wollmers music store, to be exact! you should stop by sometime and say hi. i had some friends that went to carlmont hs, too.

maybe we could talk more about music mentoring. i'm trying to get an in with the elementary/middle schools and even though i teach their students privately, the school teachers are just NOT calling me back about volunteering to help out. also, maybe we can also talk about teaching. email me so we can talk further (Since i never get comments on lj anymore).

i added you as well :)
