Awesome fic, it was a fun ride. There's something about the idea of John/Vala that just promises craziness and this definitely delivers.

I was going to say that this reminded me a bit of Who's That Girl?, but after I googled it, lo and behold, it was a modern day adaptation of Bringing Up Baby! So now I get your title and have another movie I need to watch. XD

I love that movie so much. John paralleled David rather well, though I sort of split Susan between Vala and Rodney. I'm so glad it worked out. It took quite a bit of gall on my part to play with perfection.

Hi! I am over here from a rec from cofax7. I thought this was hilarious. Bringing Up Baby is one of my favorite films. The image of John Sheppard in fuschia lounge-wear (and nothing else!) is something I will never forget. Which is a Good Thing. I think.

She recced it? Wow. I'm beyond amazed and full of gratitude. Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn together were always fantastic, but Bringing Up Baby is the perfect screwball comedy. John in Vala's little feather-trimmed robe is my favorite scene in the story too. I even managed to use Cary's lines from the movie, which is the sort of technical thing I sometimes get a thrill over. Thank you so much for commenting.

This was hysterical! I know laugh-out-loud is overused for anything mildly funny, but literally. My ribs hurt. Great story!

Awwww, thank you kindly. I did a serious story to begin with, so I tried to do something different and funny with the pinch hit. I'm happy anyone thinks it worked.
