hehe, i was cruising down northern ave, pulling a wake behind me as i sang along w/ nin - head like a hole at the top of my lungs... i flashed my brights at the red lights to make the lights change & timed it just right to slide through w/o stopping or speeding. for 6 miles!

at night & in phoenix it does. most people think the little boxes on top of the lights are cameras, but they are flash detectors for emergency vehicles. they are not precision devices & respond to any regular pulse of light.

the cameras are usually bulky boxes by the side of the road.

OOH! OOH! I must try it out! However, we probably will be the last city to get that, since we are LAST in everything, except most dangerous city (#7!). Well, not LAST, but we always rank as CRAPPY. And I just don't see why--I guess cause I am from here and just used to the crappiness.
Trivia: guess why SC is one of the worst ranked states for education? Because they base it on standardized test scores, and we have OFFICIALLY THE hardest test in the nation, along with mostly Title One schools...our test is on the stuff they learned in school, but presented in MENSA form! hahaha! College kids have taken it to test it out and flunked.
