the answer is yes. I'm not on my computer, so i don't have the link, but the answer to your question is yes. Usually the services offered back up to a pdf, and you get to choose whether or not to include pictures/icons/comments/etc.

the version of this offered by LJ doesn't let you back up your comments, but i believe there are clients that allow you to do that.
