can someone please tell me if this is super immature and if i should just leave it alone. or if i should send it because its an open and honest communication ( Read more... )

Every family communicates differently, so I don't know if my advice is best for you. I think you should think about it for a day, and decide if you still want to send it. Personally, I think you should just call him up and ask about it but that might break bad, depending on you two....or just wait until the next time he calls you and maybe start jokingly but if he denies it again, then seriously ask about it.
My father and I have a very interesting relationship, where we don't talk to each other about anything trivial, because we'd just end up arguing, but we love each other and we do talk about things like my future. I actually avoid my father quite often...so....idk.

This might be a little late, as it is three days later, but I think communicating what you're feeling is a good idea, in whatever medium works best for your family. For me, I'd probably have to do it in person/in some way they could hear inflections, but if email/letter works for you, go for it!
