Slight change in plans. Instead of going this May, I'm going to go the May after. A friend of mine from high school wants to come, so we're both going to go by ourselves. That gives me more time to save, which means we'll have more money to stay longer and do more things.
As for where we're going, we're still planning that. I want to hike across the entire continent, as well as along some of the coast (Gaeltach area). He wants to go to England to see London and Stonehenge. So we'll probably end up doing both. There's a ferry that goes from Dublin to Liverpool. It's a four hour drive to Stonehenge from there, which means we'll have to get some kind of transport, because we plan on hiking / camping most of the time we're in Ireland. We're looking at routes and all that now.
I'm going to invite Trey, but I'm pretty sure I know what the answer is. :/
Well, I know you guys would have a lot of fun and Trey being all outdoorsy and such. However, being married changes a lot of things for him. We have certain goals for our future and we can't meet them if a lot of money is going towards spending a month in Ireland. Like for example, we need to get down to Florida to visit his family at some point, buy a house and start paying off his college loans while he tries to form a career. That's just the big things I guess. But being that your trip is so far in the future, we'll have to see how things pan out. :)
I would rather have had Trey with me when I went, just because we're that close and I know him that much better, and there's no one else I'd like to share the adventure with more than him. That being said, though, I understand that he has other responsibilities now, so we'll just have to wait and see. I'm not really holding my breath, though.

So Ireland in May? That sounds cool. Any idea where you're headed or just going to meander around the countryside?
