Thank you Pat. Temperatures are down around freezing here, but there is only a 30% chance that we will have snow on Christmas Day. I guess it must be approaching mid-summer for you?
Hi Malcolm, yes, below the Tropic of Capricorn, Aussies are into summer, found this because I wasn't sure myself of the seasons down south - Summer: December to February Autumn: March to May Winter: June to August Spring: September to November
Up north though our seasons are - Wet: Starts Nov Dry: Starts May
On the tv weather report a couple of nights ago it was announced that we have a monsoon trough just north of here, a lot of cloud cover on the BOM satellite piccy but scant rain on the ground in our suburb :)
I hope that Christmas is going well in your household with everyone home for the break.
I went to see the movie "The Golden Compass" this weekend. If you haven't seen it yet it's well worth doing so. A bit scary in places but you get to see the polar bears real close!
Thanks Malcolm! I hope your Christmas is warm and wonderful! Just now got back from your neck of the woods...cold Londontown. But so shiny and glittery with lights!
I'm glad to hear that you've made it home safely after your whirlwind visit to London. Yes, we have had a cold snap the last couple of days, right down to 0C at night. A bit different from Sevilla I expect.
The lights do seem to be a bit more imaginative this year. I particularly liked the "balloon lights" at the lower end of Regent Street where it enters Picadilly Circus (noticed these as we were waiting to go into Mamma Mia last Monday).

I thought you would like the wolf. As soon as I found the picture I felt it had to be shared.
Have a great Christmas and New Year with your family.
