NaNoWriMo ftw. I won twice! And got progressively worse as the years went by; last year I could not bring myself to write a single word, ah ha ha...! I dunno if I'd do it again this year, my boyfriend hates NaNoWriMo because I am gone and ignore him. :I

Y-yeah, Word is expensive ;A; But there's a lot of other cool programs, too! I used Q10, and it was pretty fun! The typewriting sounds was awesome. I felt so cool. Maybe you'll find more stuff on the forums perhaps!

Yesss, NaNo! I can't remember how many times I won. Uhhh three, I guess? Three or four. Last year was pretty difficult to navigate around finals sob. But maybe you can do a spaced-out NaNo, like starting in October and try to get 50K around November? The NaNo atmosphere is so addicting. But yes. I'm so grumpy while writing.

I read "monomolecular sword" as "monocle and sword" for a second. It's almost not as cool now.

No, but he does have sunglasses that can see the basic shapes of his surroundings! And his sword cuts through molecules! Though I'm not sure what type of manga you like, to be honest. One day you'll have to tell me, or else I'll just keep throwing shoujo your way. everybody likes shoujo!
