Posters -- new apartment help

I want to think through my apartment walls. What should be on them? Originally, I was going to go with black and white photography. Then, I was thinking Movie Posters (older movies, preferably) that are framed nicely and such. Then I was thinking I have no clue. Here are my ideas thus far -- I'd appreciate comments and help.

i think knowing the layout of the place would help you and others in this process. walking in, what are will, or do you believe, stick out the most? where do you want eyes to go first *as soon* as someone walks in? when that area is found, i like your fav one, the first. personally, the first area i *feel* is then automatically the theme of the place. seeing the first photo upon walking in, i'd automatically go into a "classic" feel of the apt. then, the rest do, indeed, have to be placed in some logical order that fits into the place--or the zen(?), if you will.

anyway, i love all your choices. i am partial to the classic photos only because it gives class to the place. the navy one would be near the door...seeing it when one exits--anchors aweigh!

Different rooms can have different themes, depending on colors, etc. I am a big fan of black and white in the bedroom (bow chicka bow wow) and colors in the more neutral areas like the living room, etc. I love that Marilyn poster! I also like how it looks to have some black and whites with a sprinkling of color, like say the army kiss and gone with the wind, combined with georgia.
