Tonight was honestly one of the most sobering nights I've had in a long time. Being pretty laid back and easygoing seems to have led to a lot of vagueness, indifference, stagnation. And, I think that attitude is contagious. Once again, comfort is the enemy.
If you're at all interested, please listen to this. I am actually looking forward to the next few weeks as we journey through this season together. I feel a sense of reassurance, of hope. It's so easy for me to focus primarily on what isn't, or what won't be, instead of what is or what can be.
And, to make the night all the better, Jon did a much needed rendition of "Are You Washed in the Blood?" There will be bluegrass in heaven.
