I have thick hair down to the bottom of my rib cage. About two years ago I was in a car accident and my cranial nerves have been damaged. I can't put my hair up anymore, so I'm thinking I have to cut it, but I really don't want to! Anyone else deal with this or have any suggestions for simple but supportive hair styles?

My hair is about that long (although mine is very fine and thin) and I have issues that I can't fully move my shoulders correctly. I've not been able to fasten/unfasten a back hook bra for several years now.

Plus, 2 weeks ago I fell and knocked myself out, had to have staples to repair a 3 inch gash on my scalp. (No hair was cut, yay!!) I'm still in recovery from all that fun.

Braids are my friends. And so are hair gloves that snap over a ponytail and lace closed to keep one's hair in place. If you've not tried them, spin pins are lovely, and I've seen them in more than one size on Amazon.

I can do my hair up in a loose cinnamon bun and it only takes about 5-6 minutes, plus it doesn't pull my hair like bobby pins can.

Whoops my comment got marked as spam, probably due to the links.

I suggested braids, and also the Mia Beauty snap elastics, if you have trouble with regular hair elastics. A google search should pull them up. I know there are some on Amazon and Mia Beauty.
