i had a great chat with a friend i haven't seen for a while tonight. he's a lot like myself. he thinks. i don't think many people around us do that enough. something else must be passing through their brain right now, right? could it be that as i analyze and read into their words, they are taking mine for face value? funny. i can say things i don't ( Read more... )

If everyone you talk to now surface-level became deep and insightful, then there are two things that may be the result. First, you would not want people to get as deep with you and it would start to annoy you; or you would stop appreciating those special who have a deeper relationship with you, or those who are more than just surface-level. Surface-level conversations and friendships serve their purpose, for without them we would either go crazy or be anti-social.

but the "so-what-are-you-doing-for-thanksgiving-shit-conversation" people are so much fun to make fun of.
Atleast I find joy in it, maybe i'm an ass though...
