I Eat Terrible Foods

Oct 12, 2009 14:42

As long as I can remember I've always craved fatty foods. I would lie and steal to get them, even from a very young age. My mother used to holler at me that all I cared about was filling my gut. I absolutely cannot have junk food of any kind in my house or I eat it like it's the last food I'll ever see... I used to waste a lot of money on fast food too, but the wasting money had more of an effect on me than binging did, so I stopped that just due to monetary reasons. Save it up for something nice!

I spent $204 so far this month on food to binge on. Actually $108 of that is overdraft charges for writing checks for the food thinking money would go in before the checks.

I could totally use that money for my kids. The guilt is overwhelming.

One time my husband pulled out my night stand to look for the TV remote and found a HUGE pile of empty candy wrappers. I was mortified. He cussed and hollered at me for making such a mess. Glad he is gone.

I feel for you. Im always hiding wrappers and I recently had to go to the grocery store to rebuy things I should have eaten (cookies, chex mix bars). I really hope I can stop binging, it drains my energy, self esteem, and bank account

Nice to meet you.

You need a professional therapy. There are many free or discounted resources people with your diagnosis, and also for people going through a divorce.

If you are working on a degree, your school probably offers counseling services or can refer you to a good counselor.

And of course, we're here to support you as well. <3

Really? I'd love to get therapy. Do you know where or where I could start to look?

My school is an online course so no counselors.

Thank you!
