how bout them apples

anybody have experience with apple customer service..i got one of those ipod touch gizmos almost a month ago. a couple weeks in i noticed a scratch on the top of the screen, not in the viewable area and thought nothing of it..i know they make cheap enough stuff to take scratches out of the plastic on older ipod so whatev..then last week i noticed ( Read more... )

yea..i went to the store that night and showed a 'genius'..he's like 'whoa, i've never seen one of these scratch' and brings it to another guy there who has the same reaction saying 'i've had mine for months, constantly dropping it and my screen is pristine'..so i ask if they can exchange it and they look at me like i'm a complete moron. they say it's a result of my use right after the guy tells me he drops his all over the place and it doesn't scratch..i've never dropped mine. it goes in my pocket and laid face up on a table..that's it. i suggested it may be a defect in the screen and one of the guys just walks away..

i need a plan b

i think plan b involves open hand slapping the 'geniuses' at apple. hehe.

i hate to say it, cuz i'm a big apple lover, but the 'geniuses' at the bar have, in my experience, been disappointing.
did you buy it from an apple store?
it should have a warranty for a year, go to a diff apple store, tell them it came that way and you want an exchange with no other explanation.
that's what i'd do.

p.s. i dropped my pod and the screen is completely useless now.
invest in a VERY protective case, that's what i recommend.
