The other day I went to a round-table led by a local congresscritter focusing on the state of the net. It was an interesting discussion about how these really broken laws get enacted in Congress. You're aware I'm in law school right now? I think I've found a pretty good career path.

I was thinking that you might enjoy some of this stuff too, although for entirely different reasons than I'm into it. I think you'd be awesome in criminal defense for some reason.

Yes, I know you're in law school. Mostly what I was suggesting is that doing some sort of tech lobbying might be in your future, since that combines both technology and the law.

Aaah, I see. But I don't think I would make a good lobbyist. I would probably wind up getting short with a congresscritter who was being intractable and then it'd be all over. Although I imagine patience is something I could develop, I couldn't imagine actually enjoying that job, no matter how important I think it is ( ... )
