 The Tragedy of August 15th
By Guest Writer Lucy McGee!

My heart shattered into a million pieces.
The result of the match left me dazed and speechless.
Their heads held high and showing large smiles,
the Irish team left the pitch in style.
(Except for Ava, who had a row
with a man in the stands. She gave him a blow.)

Then the Irish fans threw their fists up in ire.
Behind their eyes burned one hell of a fire.
Some of us wept in unison,
Poor Ireland, what have you done?

My eyes were wetter than an otter,
and across the pitch, I saw the Potters
looking sad as sad can be
and that's when it occurred to me:
Our losing this match was destiny.
In four years we'll come back for a victory.
