Anti-Segregationist Milestone in Berlin
-- Aaron Stanford

Berlin was a rolling sea of multiplicity Wednesday morning, as witches and wizards representing governments from across the world came together for a conference to discuss several rather pressing issues, directing particular attention to the desegregated future of the Wizarding world. Closing the gaps -- which by some are now seen as unjust and unnecessary -- was the main focus of these assemblages, although no specific conclusions have yet been reached. The debate over the slow and steady removal of the International Statute of Secrecy has been a tricky one, but the general consensus calls for change and a move into the direction of openness. Kingsley Shacklebolt, easily the most recognisable face that day, was of course accompanied by Zara Quince, who has recently stepped up to the plate in regards to Muggle relations.

Wolfe Wexler was not present at the conference, or at any of the events that preceded it. It is rumoured that Wexler was relieved of his position in the Ministry due to his latter-day negligence, and that he will soon be replaced by someone more reliable.

The preceding Sunday afternoon, a question and answer session was hosted in the streets of Diagon Alley. Wizards Against Muggle Mistreatment organised the event. The speakers invited to address the people raised awareness on the subject, talking about how lowering of the Statute of Secrecy could help with the familiarity of Muggles in general, and hopefully eliminate the need for Obliviators.

With these big steps forward and new developments, it is fairly easy to see what our future will be like.
