Gen told him it would be a good idea, but Gen has a lot of incomprehensible beliefs about what would be "good" for Jared, and he's not really sold on most of them. He doesn't really believe blind dates are ever a good idea for him, because people see him and think he's hot and are excited, and then talk to him and realize he's painfully shy and don't like him anymore
