If you're at all familiar with it, I would love to see a ficbit where Jensen and Jared are a monarch and kirin à la the novel/anime Twelve Kingdoms (I leave it to your discretion which one is the magic unicorn).
Jensen sighs, rubbing his forehead. "I know you don't. I don't either. I'm not a fan of violence. Not just because it might make you sick. But--if someone else is violent first--"
"That makes it okay?" Jared asks. He's in his human form, but the way he moves his head resembles nothing so much as the toss of a mane. Jensen smothers a smile; this is serious.
"It doesn't make it okay," he says, voice smooth. "You know I hate it. But if he won't negotiate, there isn't much I can do other than fight against him. If he lays waste to my kingdom, it doesn't help anyone."
"I know," Jared says, miserably. "Why isn't his kirin stopping him? Or getting sick
( ... )
*beams* How so cool, Chash? The conflict between responsibility to the kingdom and responsibility to each other is wonderful, and I love love love the little reminders of Jared's nature (tossing his hair! can't handle blood!).
Also I am sighing contentedly at the affection/connection between them, especially in those last few lines.
Thank you!
