Hello, friends! As a head's up, I find LJ's new comment thing so incredibly hideous that I actually cannot deal with looking at it. So I switched this journal back to having custom comment pages. I'm really sorry about this! I know that custom comment pages are a lot harder to read on for some people. I'll switch it back once I'm done with drabbles ( Read more... )

That's putting it very politely.

(Also, notice how they waited until just after the Mashable award voting ended to roll it out?

Yes, yes it is. UGH.

I may just sit here for a while with this comment page open because at least it looks nice and not all weird.

"?style=mine" has also changed for me somehow, as of today. Text looks much smaller and it's driving me crazy because a) I hate when LJ starts "improving" things and doesn't give us a choice, and b) it really is too small for me to read comfortably.

Oh, ugh :( I was gonna try to deal with the new comment pages, but then I saw the font had changed too and I couldn't read it as well, so I just gave up.

Ah, so it was not just me. You know, my first thought when I saw the changes this morning was "there's something wrong with my browser". It is hard to believe that somebody labeled this crap an "improvement".

I'm so happy I'm not the only one it bothers. I was talking to my friend when I realized everything was different and she totally didn't even notice until I pointed it out and then was all *shrug*

How did you switch your journal to the "custom comment pages" ??

Go to "Journal style" and scroll down to the bottom of the page, there should be a button that says "Customize selected theme." Scroll down to presentation and under "Basic options" there should be an option "Disable custom comment pages." Set that to no.

it is a sad day indeed when the custom comment pages are 1 billion times better than the default pile of monkey shit.
