Eee, Korra fic! And from you! Also, I love how the Firelord is Iroh's mother, not father. I adore the idea of Iroh/Korra. I mean, Mako's ok, but he's really kind of a boring character. And I'm filled with glee at the idea of Korra dating around, figuring out who and what she likes instead of the TV one-true-love-at-first-sight relationship that happens way too often.

Awesomely enough, Iroh's mother is canonically the Fire Lord! I think it's from the Welcome to Republic City game? I can't remember. But it's definitely somewhere official.

I love the formality of the scene and how Korra crashes it with an "Oh. Hey, councilwoman." It's very very show and I love that Korra's got this edge of informality, even though she's been trained to do it all properly when she needs to.

I was trying to help rebuild the city, round up Equalist cells, and win a pro-bending championship, and all anyone wanted to hear about was whether or not I would ever get another boyfriend.
Ugh. Sad, but so astute.

The Fire Lord was trying to set the two of us up by reminding you how much you liked Aang?

No, I lied, Korra hitting on Iroh is actually the BEST. Because yes, yes yes yes, this is so her and the characterization totally works for him (oh, he's so like his grandfather) and oh, I love that Korra's talking sex and making the first move. So much. (He calls them extramarital relations! That's so perfect and awkward and yes.)

Also, Korra's parting shot is brilliant!
