Great story about Wolfie's Bob! Loved the pictures and fond memories I have of us eating there. Will never forget that woman at the counter who did the thing with her chair you described above. I do remember those incredible kosher dill pickles, too!! It would be sad to see this old landmark be torn down for some pricey high rise condo unit to up in its place if that's what their intent is. Thanks for this trip down memory lane!

Thanks. I hope this did it justice ... I know you wanted me to do this post ... it was fun to do to say the least! Now if the Rascal House was only a bit closer ...

Well I remember how excited you were to take me there and how you talked about it all the time. It sure was everything you said it was. I wish it were closer too. Some things can never be replaced by anyone else. I figured you might enjoy putting together a post about it. Pass the pickles!!

Anything's better than OCB unless you're in a pinch to get chicken bones for Fangie ...

Well that pastrami sandwich pictured here is just an acid reflux ready to happen ... although honestly at the time of consuming the pastrami sandwich ... one has no idea of what is to follow!

Acronym time ...

HCBOR - Hot Corned Beef On Rye
HPOR - Hot Pastrami On Rye

Tell me ... what is it about rye bread and delicatessens?
