hmm top 10 of 2004.....when music sucks as much as it does today this is a hard list to make....but hey ill have a go at it
1 brian wilson - smile.....it is not pet sounds but it is amazing my #1 of 2004 2 tom waits - real gone.....the man is a genius. he defines redefinition 3 chris robinson - this magnificent distance....the mans got a voice 4 rich robinson - paper.....a very unique record that i enjoyed. the crowes music definitly came from him 5 phish - undermind....not their best but a very good farewell 6 wilco - a ghost is born....this album rocks. it is not yankee hotel foxtrot but it is still very good and experimental when it comes to the great alt country that has been in wilcos past
several live albums came out such as dylans bootleg volume 6 and allman brothers at the beacon....these would be my top two but seeing that they are not filled with new recordings i felt it wrong to include them
Excellent list, once again. I really need to hear Chris's new album and Tom Waits, since they're two of the greatest vocalists of all time. Funny how we have three of the same albums. It's that thing.
