[The young vicomte de Turenne, Théodore de La Tour d'Auvergne, has gotten himself lost in a hedge maze. It is supposed to be amusing to get oneself lost for a while--or at least he assumes it is supposed to be, or there would not be one on the grounds of Versailles.  Unfortunately, it is taking him far longer than he intended to find

[There is someone mumbling, so Billy, in his uniform and holding his ridiculous pruning shears, pokes his head out from behind a corner]

Milord?

Ahh!...ah.

[No, Teddy was totally not at all startled or surprised in anyway by the surprisingly handsome gardener.]

You there. [That sounds appropriately imperious, right?] What are you doing there?

[He's pruning. Obviously. Teddy considers just stepping back behind the statue, but that would be beneath whatever remains of his dignity.]

[Holy crap it's him. Billy stares at his shears and clips them once in the air. For effect.]

....pruning.

Yes, of course. Carry on.

[Teddy executes an abrupt about face and walks back in the direction he came from. Or at least, he thought that's what he'd done, but then what were those white flowers doing there? A moment later, he rushes back to the dancing nymph statue and is relieved to see the gardener still there.]

I suppose you must be very familiar with this maze.
