[Clark is sitting outside on the porch of the Welcome Center, jotting down things in what looks like a very full notebook. He's clearly absorbed in his work, but he'll snap out of it if someone approaches

[Molly is inside, where it's warm. Having lived in LA, she still isn't used to such cold weather, especially when it's so long-lasting. But as she stares at her journal, she notices something, and so she pulls it closer to speak.]

Hey, Clark!

[Voice]

[Recognizing the voice, he reaches over to pull the journal closer to him, giving his warm grin.]

Afternoon, Molly. How are you?

[Voice]

Cold.

[Voice]

Sorry to hear that, but that's February for you. At least where I grew up.

[ The girl is probably heard coughing before she's seen padding by the Welcome Center. Polka sure does get out and about an awful lot since being brought here. But then, she made it her limited life's goal to meet and help as many people as she could, within her power at least. So spying Mr. Paperman over yonder, she tilts her head curiously and wanders -that-a-way, dusting her dress with both hands. ]

Good afternoon! [ And a curious motion to the pad follows. ] What are you doing?

[He lifts his head as she approaches him and flashes her a smile.]

Afternoon, miss. I'm just taking down a few notes about this place.

[ Blinkit. Notes? Polka folds her hands behind her back curiously. ]

What kind of notes? Like how many people are in the city and things?

[Action]

[He reaches over to flip his journal shut as he answers.]

More along the lines of what we know about Luceti.

[Ginko is meandering through town after watching the sparring at the training center, and sees the man's substantial note-taking. He quirks an eyebrow.]

That looks like a pretty thorough set of observations.

[He gives a quick nod at that.]

It should be. That's my job, after all.

[He has his own thick stack of notes-- but he sincerely doubts it's for the same reason]

What job might that be?

[He'd know Martel by now; she's in charge of taking care of the New Feathers at the Center. She'll be stepping out to sit beside him now, though at a respectful distance.]

How are you today, Clark?

[Indeed Martel's quite familiar to him now, and Clark gives her one of his best smiles as she sits down next to him.]

I'm doing quite well, thank you Martel. And yourself?

The same. I've prepared some sandwiches for the other New Feathers... Would you care for one?

I'd be very pleased, thank you. Where are they? [He moves to stand up.]

[Okita works graveyard shift at the Welcome Center so they might not have met yet, but he's popped in for a bit during the day and looks curiously at the man sitting on the steps.]

Hello there. What are you up to?

[He lifts his head and gives Okita a cheerful nod and grin.]

Afternoon. I'm just jotting down a few notes about this place. Got to keep up to date, after all.

[He reaches over to shut his journal as he responds.]
