i woke up early this morning and took a walk/went thrifting in my new neighborhood.  there's this place that's sort of like kiwanis just down the street, plus a couple of vintage stores.

also, the brunch in this town looks amazing.

my would-be roommate is too creepy for me to stand. i'm now back to square one, and homeless. i looked at another place this evening with some nice, predictable law students. i'll probably live there.

no, i don't think i'm crazy for turning this down. yes, i do think i am probably too picky. no, i don't think that's a bad thing.

i found an apartment.  i have no idea how this is going to turn out.  i'm living with a 29 year old dude in uptown/wrigleyville.

we're having a tattoo party on october 22nd, if you would like to come.

yesterday at work i spent the last two hours of my day reading through all of my livejournal entries from january 2004 - april 2005.  it made me quite depressed, and i returned to my apartment and finished the rest of the bottle of r &r that i had been saving.  and then i stole a beer from one of my roommates.  and then i watched five hours of the ( Read more... )

this weekend, i learned:

- i don't actually live in the ghetto. i live about two miles southeast of the ghetto. and it is quite terrible there.
- the best chinese food known to man is in fact NOT located in garden city, michigan, but right here in chicago's chinatown. lao sze chuan, my GOD.

i just went to the bathroom (for the sixth time) and found some poor e-publishing soul sleeping in front of his computer.  no joke.  like, almost snoring.
