Well I seem still to be about as wordless as a hot air balloon or a thing which lurks in the undergrowth. I have been up since 5 on this particular day, flung out on the sofa with a blanket over me, looking at design blogs. When you read "this picture shows some of my apron and tea towel collection" you know to move on. So I moved on and found

Hello Ms Q. It's really nice to see you. I've been mute for what seems like forever. If I get my act (or my words) together, I'll post about it. Not so massively dissimilar to what's been happening in your life recently. I've been following that, silently. It was most excellent to read about the courses you're thinking of doing. Something about going in that direction felt so right when I read it - maybe because it seems to offer you the combination of doing and knowing, I don't know. Maybe because it seems something you'd love to do. Spending your life doing what you love is much on my mind too, at the moment. I'm extricating myself, lengthily and painfully, from what I haven't loved doing and I'm rolling the idea around in my mouth like a fat, ripe plum. Maybe I won't find whatever it is, but it seems essential to give it a go. You're further down that road than me - you seem to have found what it might be and have ideas about how you can go about it. I think that's wonderful. I've been taking my hat off to you,

How are the Orchids going ?

I've been rusticating in the countryside for the last week and a half with virtually no internet access and none whatsoever to the orchids, which are being cared for (I hope) in Sydney. I'll tell you more when I get back, but my hopes are not wildly high.
