It's good to know I'm not in a club of one. In the end mine died. After re-potting, misting, hovering around them anxiously, going out and leaving them to their devices, misting them, not misting them, sticking a wooden skewer in their pots to test for dampness... I think they rotted too badly initially, and were left with no roots at all, apart from the few that waved above ground at me. Trouble was, I couldn't decipher what they were semaphoring. It's a horrible experience - I've always had 'green' fingers. I was tempted by one I saw recently in a shop. It was white with pink sploshes and the roots looked healthy. But I resisted because I'm going away for over a month and I just know the outcome...
