I answered so literally! But fuck I love this song. It's my karaoke fantasy - though last time i karaoke-d it wasn't on the books so I had to choose KISS OFF instead, which was just fine.

Violent Femmes ranks up there as one of the best shows I ever saw - just because we had so much fun. These old scraggly biker dudes were right next to us (me and my blond girlfriend in our late teens / early 20's) and we totally bonded singing every word to every song they sang. Gordon Gano has a new band out and they just had a show in Brooklyn but unfortunately I read about it a day after it happened. Although who am I kidding? I have no one to go to things like that with (none of my friends are intersted - although I am dragging one to see Morrissey at a casino in CT - god, I am such an old lady - no shows in Brooklyn for me!).
