Beijing, Forbidden City
Beijing was everything I hoped it would be and more. It was so amazing to see opulent palaces and hear about how the emperors lived. I went on 2 guided tours. The first day we went to the Forbidden City, Tienenmen Square, the Temple of Heaven, and the Summer Palace. Beijing, and wireless troubles
Hopefully i'll get this posted before the wireless cuts out again. I got here 2 days ago, and the first day had no wireless at all. Xi'an and the Terra cotta warriors
What an amazing day it's been. I went on a tour bus with eight other people, six Australians and two Chinese. We were all chattering way in no time. The tour guide was very informative. Step one: leave Logan airport an hour late, due to some nasty weather. First we had to be de-iced with hot water and anti-freeze, to remove the ice already built up on the plane. Then we got sprayed a second time to prevent the ice from building up again ( Read more... ) -

I'm playing with the loaner Ipad and for the longest time could not get it to let me type in the text field. I was getting annoyed and wondering if it would be worth bringing on the trip.
